What is dual enrollment?
Posted by:Dual enrollment allows students to earn college credits for courses they take in high school. SUNY Erie’s Advanced Studies program and Buffalo States College Access Program (CAP) are dual enrollment options at CSAT. Student final grades for high school courses are reflected on an official college transcript.
-
What are the benefits of dual enrollment?
Posted by:Dual enrollment courses give students experience with college-level coursework within a supportive high school environment.
Earned dual enrollment credits can be transferred to all universities, saving students time and money spent on college. If they take advantage of all credit-bearing opportunities students can leave CSAT with a full year of college-level courses (30+ credits)!
-
What are the costs associated with dual enrollment?
Posted by:We can offer these courses for FREE to all students thanks to our partnerships with SUNY Erie/SUNY Buffalo State College, the Cullen Foundation, and the M&T foundation!
-
How does grading work for dual enrollment?
Posted by:Students receive the same grade on their college transcript that they do on their final report card for high school courses. Since final grades will be on a permanent college transcript, it is important that students give their best effort at their best work. We will monitor grades of all students in dual enrollment courses to ensure successful completion of coursework.
